About Us

At The Floss’N Xpertz, we believe prevention is the foundation of lifelong oral health. Led by Carlos Montalvo, a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) and retired U.S. Navy Chief Independent Duty Corpsman, our mission is simple: put prevention first in everything we do.

Carlos proudly served 24 years in the U.S. Navy, where he dedicated his career to caring for sailors, Marines, and service members in both combat and clinical settings. His military experience instilled discipline, compassion, and a deep commitment to service—values that continue to guide his work today.

After retiring from the Navy in 2015, Carlos became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in 2018 and later earned his RDHAP certification in 2024. As an RDHAP, he is licensed to provide preventive dental hygiene care directly to patients in community-based settings, including schools, senior centers, and underserved populations who may not have easy access to traditional dental care.

Our approach is built on three key principles:

We are more than just a dental prevention company—we are partners in lifelong health and well-being. Our team of hygienists, assistants, and dentists regularly collaborates with Head Start programs, screening children ages 0–7 for oral health issues, providing preventive education, and offering nutritional guidance to families. We also connect children to local dental homes when additional care is needed, ensuring no child is left without support.
