The Heartsaver® First Aid course provides first responders with training in basic first-aid procedures — including the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA — in a format that can be delivered in a single day. The course covers:

First Aid Basics

  • Medical Emergencies

  • Injury Emergencies

  • Environmental Emergencies

The Heartsaver® First Aid course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including:

  • security and airline personnel

  • camp counselors

  • police and firefighters

  • teachers and day-care workers

  • aerobics teachers/physical-fitness trainers

  • other individuals who want or need first-aid training

The instructor-led course is approximately 2 to 3 hours, with skills testing by an American Heart Association instructor during the course.

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed, healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to a hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.   • Adult, Child & Infant CPR

  • Two-Rescuer CPR scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask

  • Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)

  • Automated external defibrillation (AED)

  • Special resuscitation situations

  • Other cardiopulmonary emergencies

Course length is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid With CPR & AED is a classroom course that is designed to meet OSHA requirements. This class is intended for people in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

All AHA materials are included in this class. The course teaches basic First Aid, CPR, and AED skills such as:

  • CPR for ALL ages (Adults, Children & Infants)

  • First aid basics

  • Medical emergencies

  • Injury emergencies

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Preventing illness and injury

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

  • Child CPR and AED use

  • Infant CPR

This audience includes child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians. This course is also appropriate for educators, teachers and the general public.

Heartsaver CPR AED

Featuring hands-on CPR AED training, the Heartsaver CPR AED course covers:

  • Adult CPR AED

  • Adult Choking

  • Options include:

  • Child CPR AED

  • Infant CPR

  • Child and Infant Choking

Course length is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
